Program Summary:
We’ve heard the message loud and clear that emotions don’t belong at work. They are messy, risky, unpredictable, and frankly get in the way of making decisions. We’ve also heard the message ‘bring your whole self to work’ but if (or when) we do, only a few people have the skills (and confidence) to deal with the ‘whole self’.
But what if talking about fears and feelings is a pathway to unlocking potential in people and yourself? What if you could use thoughts and emotions to create lasting change instead of falling into old, unproductive habits? What would happen in your organization (or your home) if you used a theory (that therapists use) as a way to ensure you’re solving the right problems instead of simply putting a band-aid on them?
Join Lisa Brouwer, a Certified Dare to Lead Facilitator under the work of Brené Brown, in an engaging discussion that will reach beyond emotional intelligence to emotional literacy. You’ll explore an eye-opening principle from Dare to Lead. Lisa will share a ‘path to productivity’ model and you'll practice applying it in order to lead from a place of care, connection, and humanity while focusing on driving the business forward.
