Program Summary
Gapology was written to be a comprehensive tool for leaders to apply in their daily lives in order to move their teams and themselves closer to their goals and expectations. This training workshop is designed to take participants through the methods laid out in the book and help provide real-world strategies to help quickly identify and close the performance gaps that we all experience each day.
The lunch session will be an overview of how to define performance gaps and root solutions and high level of the knowledge gaps, importance gaps and action gaps.
The lunch session is approved for 1.0 HR (General) credit / 1.0 SHRM credit.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will acquire an understanding of the three types of performance gaps.
2. Participants will acquire an understanding of the nine root solutions that will close the gaps.
3. Participants will begin practicing methods to close performance gaps in their own lives.
4. Participants will create a call-to-action challenge and options for next steps.
Speaker Biographies
Brian Brockhoff has led, trained and coached winning teams of diverse business leaders and front-line associates for over 30 years. He is responsible for the design and delivery of numerous skill development programs that inform and inspire his participants to take action. Brian is the co-author of Gapology, author of Gapology Inspirations, and co-founder of Gapology Institute and Consulting.
Mark Thienes’ experiential journey encompasses over 35 years of success in leading teams to winning seasons. He proudly refers to himself as “The Original Gapologist.”
personal passion is developing winning leaders by spreading the wisdom of other winning leaders. His first and favorite question for winning leaders is, “How did you do that?” He loves to hear of the thought process and the strategies they develop to win. These processes and strategies were foundational in the creation of “Gapology.”
This session is pending 1.0 certification for SHRM and HRCI recertification credits.
