This session will cover the transition from an annual review process to a coaching culture. Coaching is an impactful and effective way to promote employee engagement through ongoing conversations surrounding goals, objectives, and career. Taking a proactive approach through coaching allows employees to have connection to the organization’s strategy and align their goals with the organization’s. Additionally, it allows managers to develop employees in real-time through ongoing learning and feedback.

Raquel Nachatilo, PHR, SHRM-CP, is currently the Human Resources Director at the Missouri Valley Family YMCA in Bismarck, where she has been honored to serve others in her strategic leadership role since 2012. She has 17 years of Human Resources experience in the areas of employee relations, organizational development, compliance, performance management, benefits, compensation, and recruitment.
Raquel currently serves as the Central Dakota Human Resources Association President and is the Chair of the Bis-Man Chamber EDC Workforce Development Committee. She was the recipient of the North Dakota SHRM Professional Excellence Award in 2019. Raquel is most proud of her YMCA’s recognition as a 4-time recipient of the Prairie Business Magazine 50 Best Places to Work in 2018-2021 and Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network Top 10 Workplace in 2019 & 2020.
