Presenters: Paul Knoll, Loss Control Safety Consultant and LaVal Eberhart, Education Coordinator both with Workforce Safety & Insurance
Overview:
By preventing injuries through workplace safety and effectively managing claims when injuries occur, an employer can significantly reduce claims costs, resulting in an improved experience rating. As a North Dakota employer you could receive a 10% discount on your premium by implementing and or maintaining the (SMP) Safety Management Program. Employers who successfully implement, maintain, and fulfill all program requirements with the (SAM) Safety Action Menu could add an additional 15% saving. Paul Knoll and LaVal Eberhart will present options for your business to participate in these programs along with grant programs and the (LMS) Learning Management System. WSI believes that every worker deserves safe work environment and every employer deserves to have healthy workers safely on the job without the risk of workplace injury.
Biography:
Paul Knoll is a safety consultant with North Dakota Workforce Safety & Insurance. Paul is a graduate of the University of North Dakota and is a certified Occupational Health and Safety Technologist. With 20 years of safety managing experience, Paul promotes workplace safety by providing a broad range of safety, health, risk management and other loss prevention services to North Dakota employers. Paul works with employers in developing WSI safety incentive programs.
LaVal Eberhart is the Employer Services Education Coordinator with Workforce Safety & Insurance. She provides presentations to employers and groups around the state on safety and education with a large focus on introducing and training employers on the WSI online Learning Management System (LMS). LaVal has been with WSI for 15 years as an Underwriter and Account Manager in Employer Services in addition to the claims department. LaVal‘s Educational background is in broadcasting and communications and she enjoys utilizing that skill in her current position for WSI. She is a native of North Dakota and thoroughly enjoys meeting with ND employers as she travels around the state doing education for WSI.
