Program Summary
We hear over and over again that employees are not ready for the workplace: they are poor communicators, they are too careful or not careful enough, they don’t know how to collaborate or work independently and more. The arts are a proven way to begin to address these and other issues. Come and learn about options for how to engage your employees to better your bottom line.
Participating in arts activities at work builds professional skills, such as:
· Analytical thinking
· Problem solving
· Independent and collaborative thinking
· Sociability
· Fuller intellectual capacity
Finding common ground through art gives your employees the opportunity to connect with colleagues and share ideas. It also helps create a lively, positive work environment for employees, makes them feel good about coming to work and sustains them throughout the day.
Learning Objectives
This will cover the following topics:
1. Benefits of having original art in your workspace
2. Benefits of bringing artists into your workspace
3. Benefits of having employees make art with artists
4. Benefits of taking employees on a magical mystery art tour throughout town
About the Speakers:
Dayna Del Val is a proven leader in arts advocacy and arts administration. She has transformed her current organization into a dynamic, responsive, arts advocacy powerhouse. A proven communicator, her diverse writing platforms, radio and television interviews and in-person presentations consistently highlight the myriad and reciprocal benefits of investing in the arts for economic, community-based place making, cultural and quality of life aspects. An instinctive leader with a voracious curiosity for learning, Del Val has grown the organization by nearly 200%.
In 2018, Del Val received the Emerging Leader award from the North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations (NDANO). In 2017, The Arts Partnership was awarded the Governor's Award for the Arts for Outstanding Arts Organization.
Additionally, she is a professional stage and commercial actor. She launched the original Legendary tourism ads for the state of North Dakota, but for some reason, everyone seems to focus on the Josh Duhamel ones instead.
