Program Summary

As members of the West Central MN Continuum of Care and Fargo-Moorhead Coalition for Homeless Persons, we are committed to helping families move out of poverty. We have come to know many talented people struggling to find work due to the many obstacles and challenges they’ve faced. We have seen time and again how a good job can make the difference in helping people move forward with their lives.

In this ever-changing business climate, companies are looking to leverage every available resource to keep their workforce fully staffed and engaged. Being open to new and diverse hiring opportunities of these individuals can benefit our local economy and community by just thinking outside the box.

Learning Objectives

1.       Workforce and economic development through utilizing                    untapped talent pool.
2.       Community awareness to “rehumanize” an often overlooked            group of individuals.
3.       Identify obstacles faced by potential employees who are                homeless and what we can do to help.
4.       Discover resources available to employers through tax/cash              incentives and local agency support.
